Mini Dv Capture Software Mac

May 30, 2017  Support Communities / Mac OS & System Software / QuickTime.trying to import from mini DV via FireWire to QuickTime 10, so the full tape with full resolution can be saved into a file for later (or years later) to edit eventually. If you want 'to stop this,' then capture the DV content as a DV stream file or as a 'demuxed' DV/LPCM MOV. I can capture the video stream in OBS but not the audio. I'm using DV out of the camera by FireWire 400 / FireWire 800 adapter to Apple FireWire 800 / Thunderbolt 2 cable in to a MacBook Pro. The Source for Video Capture Device shows 'DV-VCR' but creating a Source for Audio Input Capture only shows 'Default', 'Built-in Microphone'.

Mini Dv Capture Software Mac 2017

Hi, first post here.
How can I set-up OBS to capture both video and audio from a Sony DCR-TRV22E PAL MiniDV camera? I can capture the video stream in OBS but not the audio. I'm using DV out of the camera by FireWire 400 / FireWire 800 adapter to Apple FireWire 800 / Thunderbolt 2 cable in to a MacBook Pro. The Source for Video Capture Device shows 'DV-VCR' but creating a Source for Audio Input Capture only shows 'Default', 'Built-in Microphone' and 'ZoomAudioDevice' (the MacBook Pro is used for Zoom meetings.)
Have I set-up OBS incorrectly?
I'm able to capture the video and audio from this camera using these cables to both iMovie, and to QuickTime Player, but QTP seems to have limitations on how long it can record. So the physical connection between the camera and the MacBook Pro is okay.
I'm running OBS Studio 25.0.8 and the MacBook Pro is running MacOS Catalina 10.15.5 .
Thanks in advance, and what a great project this is!
